5 Non-Chocolate Easter Gifts

5 Non-Chocolate Easter Gifts - Lifestyle Elements Concierge

Easter Traditions

Every family has their own holiday traditions that build and grow as their family does and Easter is absolutely no exception to this! When my siblings and I were little, the Easter Bunny came to do his rounds however, it was not just chocolate that he carried. Along with the chocolate eggs the Easter Bunny also brought books! At first they were gorgeous picture books about the Easter Bunny’s travels and adventures (like this one). Then as we grew older, it was just a really great excuse for a new book during the long weekend. True to form, the Easter Bunny has delivered an early Easter book for me this week to get stuck into this weekend!

5 Non-Chocolate Ideas

While the chocolate is not going too far away, here are my top picks for other non-chocolate gift ideas this Easter:

  1. Books
I might be biased towards this one…but I really don’t think there is a much better time to receive a great new read. If you are stuck for ideas, check out this awesome NY Times list of the best books released in 2014.
  2. Biscuits and Baking
With a few extra days up your sleeve, some homemade Easter Egg biscuits would make a great gift. Decorate the eggs with colourful icing and sprinkles and wrap them up into little baskets to deliver! Or, why not try your hand at making spicy, fruit filled hot cross buns!
  3. Easter Themed Toys
It is a great time of the year for beautiful soft toys and it is the long, floppy eared, soft bunny toys that keep catching my eye! What about this gorgeous ‘Bashful Bunny’ from Seed.
  4. Winter Pyjamas
A very good friend of mine has new winter pyjamas arrive each year from the Easter Bunny for her two boys! The nights are cooling down, daylight savings time is nearly over and the time has come for snuggly fleece lined ‘jammies’. And how adorable is this Baby Bunny Onsie from Peter Alexander!
  5. Homewares and Decorations
Check out these adorable Egg Candles on Etsy! Something sweet and lovely for the home is a great idea for a gift – especially for the host of your Easter lunch or dinner. Or why not take a look at these bright red rabbits from Bauhaus for the table?
