Payments of $1,000 per adult & $400 per child if you have lost your home. Australian Government disaster recovery assistance hotline 1802266.
State Government Assistance
1800 302 787 – They cannot make an assessment on the phone though, you have to present in person to a Relief Centre, Mount Barker or at the Turramurra Rec Ctr at Highbury. This is available for residents who have been affected by the fires.
Disaster Recovery Allowance South Australia
Red Cross Emergency Grants – $2,000 cash grant is available and applications are now open. This assistance is for people who have lost their home or it is rendered uninhabitable. This is available to home owners and tenants. Forms can be completed online.

During the holidays I am happy to go into the office to make free one on one appointments to help to guide people through the minefield of rebuilding. Insurance a can be very difficult, upsetting, frustrating and confusing at times and I think a lot of people have enough on their plate, than have to start to figure it all out on their own.
I am offering free one on one appointments to those who are directly affected for a way forward for them. You will have to email or DM me as we live In Kanmantoo and don’t always have a phone signal. However I will put all of my details below.
I would like to make it VERY CLEAR that I am not doing this to ‘get work’ there is no obligation AT ALL to do anything with Stroud Homes. I am offering free help to those who may need some guidance because as a local family we really care.
For any home that is re-built with us, Stroud Homes will donate $1500 for each home directly to CFS stations that need assistance. Merry Christmas

Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites – Supporting Australians affected by bushfires, Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites is offering seven complimentary rooms nights for those who have lost their homes. Oaks properties are apartment style accommodations with a kitchenette or full kitchen, and most have a laundry facility. The nights can be redeemed at a selection of Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites properties nationwide and the purpose is to support the need of those affected by bushfires to visit metropolitan areas and regional hubs for business appointments, medical support or respite.

Oakbank Racing Club – Hay (square & round bales), pet food and horse blankets are located at the Oakbank Racing Club Shillabeer Rd entrance. You’ll need to bring your PIC details. The site is open Tue 24th from 10am and then open again on Boxing Day.
For those affected by the fires. Livestock SA have set up a fodder dump at Oakbank Racecourse.

South Australian Veterinarian Emergency Management – They specialise in retrieval, triage, treat, shelter and return animals to their owners. Assistance for animals that are unidentified or animals whose owners cannot be identified or located. If you have lost your animals or see lost animals needing emergency care or support, Please call this amazing team of trained professionals at 0477 055 233.
They also have qualified veterinarians and veterinary nurses with specialised skills to treat companion animals, wildlife, horses and livestock.
